๐Ÿš€ Your first automation in 10 minutes

An "automation" sounds like something NASA builds. In reality, it's just telling the software: "when THIS happens, do THAT." Like a very obedient intern who never sleeps and never asks for a raise. Let's build your first one.

โฑ๏ธ Set a timer. If this takes longer than 10 minutes, you're allowed to blame us loudly.

What we're building

A new-lead welcome sequence: the moment someone fills out your contact form, they instantly get a friendly text, then a follow-up email the next day. This single automation has saved more deals than free donuts at a sales meeting.

Step 1: Open Automations (1 minute)

In your dashboard, click Automations, then Create Workflow. Pick the "Start from scratch" option โ€” we're chefs today, not microwave users.

Step 2: Set the trigger (2 minutes)

The trigger is the "THIS" in "when THIS happens." Choose Form Submitted and select your contact form. Now the automation is listening, like a loyal dog waiting for the doorbell.

Step 3: Send the instant text (3 minutes)

Add an SMS action right after the trigger. Write something human:

โœ๏ธ Try: "Hi {{name}}! Thanks for reaching out โ€” this is {{your business}}. We'll be in touch shortly. Reply here anytime!" โ€” Instant replies make you look like you have 47 employees.

Step 4: Add the next-day email (3 minutes)

Add a Wait step (1 day), then an Email action with a helpful follow-up: answer the #1 question new leads ask. You just built a 24/7 follow-up machine.

Step 5: Turn it on (1 minute)

Hit Publish. Congratulations โ€” you now have an employee that works nights, weekends, and holidays, and its only benefits package is electricity.

๐ŸŽ‰ You did it! Go celebrate. The automation will hold down the fort. It's very responsible.
